These forums will be taken off-line late one evening this week to perform an upgrade and some minor maintenance. The most likely day that this will happen is Thursday night.

The anticipated down time will be between 2 & 4 hours.

Last night, the server our CMS and forum are hosted on, experienced a catastrophic file system failure, resulting in thirteen hours of downtime.
Looks like the last backups they made were mere hours before the event though (around 10pm GMT), so except for a couple of late posts nothing of our brand new site was lost and we fortunately won't have to rebuild. This morning I've slowly seen services come back online, last of which the http server, so we're now fully online again.

First things first, please ensure that you change your OAP bookmark to the proper URL which is http://www.oap-clan.co.uk. Your new URL should NOT contain /forum in the link.



The software platform we were using, vBulletin 3, is shortly to be declared 'End of Life' meaning there will be little or no further support for it. In addition to the security implications it also means that there will be dwindling 3rd party support for all the modifications that we use such as the Shout-box and Arcade.
